Bear Garden Farms is located in Capon Bridge, West Virginia, straddling the West Virginia / Virginia State line, 15 miles west of Winchester, Virginia and 80 miles west of Washington, DC. We are a full time, full service alpaca breeding, boarding and sales facility serving West Virginia alpaca farm clients as well as clients from Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and alpaca farms across the nation. The focus at Bear Garden Farms is, and always has been, simple and unwavering…produce healthy, elite fleeced, conformationally correct alpacas.

A weekend felting seminar, held on our WV alpaca farm, turned Terrie into a fiber "junkie!" Immediately following the seminar she sold her real estate business to become a full time alpaca breeder. Alpaca fiber is an all-consuming passion for her and 2010 saw the launch of two new companies she is a partner of, Capon Bridge Fiber Works, LLC and Silken Alpaca Textile, LLC. Reflection is a rare gem indeed who, at birth, looked exactly as Julie Skinner of Snowmass Alpacas, described his sire…"a silky!" When Julie saw pictures of Reflection she stated, "Your Best Man cria, I can see from here, is as good as he [Snowmass Best Man] has ever produced, and we knew this female [dam of Snowmass Matrix Elite] would be the one to do it."
